The Accra International Book Festival (AIBF) will host Ghanaian writer, Bisi Adjapon on its writers’ affair platform dubbed ‘Catch Up!’ this Thursday.

The ‘Of Women and Frogs’ author would be expected to touch on some themes in her latest book as well as discuss her writing experience.

Catch Up! is an event organised by the Accra International Book Festival twice in a month to explore the experiences of writers both local and international.

The writers’ affair programme takes place on the Book Festival’s social media platforms, with over 200 active participants.

In a statement Monday, AIBF Executive Director, Iris Naa Norkor Akwetey explained Bisi Adjapon was selected because of the forcefulness and impact of her works on the continent.

“She has managed to sustain a conversation most people, including the so-called feminists, would pay scant attention to, in her latest book,” she said.

“Of Women and Frogs,” Ms Akwetey said, “demonstrates the inherent talents and power of women and how an appreciation of these potentials can change the fortune of the world for good.”

Bisi Adjapon has already won the adulation of the world with her latest book which continues to receive rave reviews from critics, book lovers and other writers.

She will join seven other writers from five countries at the 2019 Accra International Book Festival scheduled for October 24-27 at the University of Ghana, Legon.
