Management of the Dabokpa Senior High School has been forced into a renewed land dispute which has been longstanding between the school and a resident of Tamale in Northern region.

Some of the students who have been reporting since Monday have not been able to complete their admission processes due to limited access to staff in charge of the process, following the renewed litigation which has kept almost all the school management busy.

Management of the school is, however, warning of looming chaos if authorities do not intervene quickly to resolve the matter.

The warning comes after students nearly clashed with some local contractors of a Chinese firm, Sinohydro who had come to occupy the disputed building.

The contractors were met with protesting management and students on Tuesday afternoon when they arrived in the school to monitor renovation works on the house.

JoyNews observed the development has sparked new tensions in the school and left several fresh students stranded, with little attention from management to help complete their admission processes.

The workers claimed the property was rented to them by one Alhaji Baba. This is in spite of multiple verdicts by chiefs of Tamale who had adjudicated on the matter.

Not satisfied, Alhaji Baba, purported landlord of the property, proceeded to court.

Assistant Headmaster in charge of Administration, Abdulai Abdul Karim said, further delay by government particularly the Education Minister, Dr. Opoku Prempeh, to intervene in the dispute, will bring about a situation which would jeopardise the safety of the students and affect academic activities in the school.
