With just a day to go for the Joy FM Easter Soup Kitchen, organizers have stepped up publicity campaign to inform the needy people about the event. Thousands of porters and other vulnerable groups in the society will be feted at the annual event which will be held at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park on Sunday. They will also be clothed and be registered under the National Health Insurance Scheme. Head of Marketing, Davis Max Fugar told Joy News the volunteers for the event will sort out the clothing meant for the needy and will hand out the invitations today ahead of tomorrow’s event. "The two teams that we have set up to invite the street children will be embarking on the trips this morning. "One team will take care of the Western part of Accra. One will take care of the Eastern part of Accra. We going to visits all the markets to invite street children to join us tomorrow morning," he said. Meanwhile, donations are still pouring in for the event. On Saturday it was the turn of the North Kaneshie Presby who donated bags of rice and other items for the event. They also donated a cash amount of 200.00 cedis to help the worthy cause. Bomarts Farms Ltd also donated 40 cartons of fruit chips to Joy FM. The donation was by the Procurement Officer, Edward Kofi Botchway.
