The Health Ministry has lauded the efforts of a 15-year-old pupil of the Lincoln Community School, Rudra Raj Singh, for donating over a 1000 face masks to the vulnerable.
In a short presentation ceremony, Deputy Minister of Health Dr Bernard Okoe Boye expressed government's appreciation for his kind gesture.
This is his fourth donation to be made to the Ministry.
Previous donations have already been channeled to support some frontline workers in the Covid-19 treatment centers across the country.
In a letter of appreciation handed the young philanthropist, the Deputy Minister noted that the donation will go a long way to save lives in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
He added that some of the FDA approved facemasks have already been donated to some security officials, commercial drivers as well as the vulnerable.
He further indicated the number of active cases has reduced significantly due to the enforcement of the safety protocols.
Dr Boye believes strict adherence to these measures will help contain the pandemic.
He urged Rudra Raj Singh to continue showing such benevolence in the fight against Covid-19.
The young philanthropist has been unwavering and consistent with his support in the fight against Covid-19 and has promised to do more especially for young people.
