The Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin has asked Ghanaians to ignore a list of deputy ministers circulating on social media and other media outlets.
According to Mr Arhin who described it as "FAKE" on a Facebook post, President Akufo-Addo has not submitted any names to Parliament for approval.
He further stated that if the President decides to release his list of appointees or deputy ministers, an official statement will be issued from the Presidency.
"This list/report is completely FAKE, kindly disregard. The President has NOT released any list of Deputy Ministers, neither has he submitted any such list to Parliament. If and when he does, you’ll see it here first," his post read.

The circulation of the list follows the vetting and subsequent approval of Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, who was the last substantive minister of President Akufo-Addo to face the Appointments Committee of Parliament.
In January, this year, the President announced a total of 30 Ministers, and 16 Regional Ministers, bringing the total number of Ministers to 46, eight of which are women – six ministers and two Regional Ministers.
They have all been vetted and approved.
