The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has confirmed that some electronic hospital management systems across the country are currently facing temporary disruptions, affecting digital operations at certain health facilities.
In a public notice, the Authority assured the public that measures are being taken to address the issue swiftly. It also directed all NHIA-credentialed healthcare providers to continue offering uninterrupted healthcare services to members of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) during the period of disruption.
According to the NHIA, providers have been advised to use the mobile phone–based platform to generate Claims Check Codes (CCC), which will allow the continuation of claims processing and ensure patients receive care without delays.
The Authority further cautioned healthcare facilities against imposing any additional financial burden on patients as a result of the system challenge.

“NHIS members should not be subjected to any financial burden or out-of-pocket payments because of this temporary system disruption,” the statement read.
The NHIA encouraged members who encounter difficulties accessing care to contact its Call Centre on 054-444-6447 for assistance.

Expressing gratitude for the public’s patience, the Authority noted that it is working closely with the Ministry of Health and other relevant stakeholders to restore full system functionality as soon as possible.
“The NHIA sincerely appreciates the patience, understanding, and cooperation of healthcare providers and NHIS members as the Ministry of Health, together with relevant stakeholders, works urgently to resolve the issue and restore full system functionality,” it added.
