Noble Dream Financial Services has set eyes on attaining universal banking status as it increases branch networks across the country. The microfinance company has opened 18 branches across the country in less than three years of operations, steering as the fastest growing in Ghana’s microfinance business.Chief Executive Officer, Ezekiel Owusu Afriyie said the increasing pace of branch set ups should see the company evolving as the first commercial bank to emerge from the Ashanti region within the shortest possible time.“If you’re serving the customers well, then in return whatever goal you have will be achieved”, he told Luv Biz Report at the opening of the Bantama branch in Kumasi.Mr. Owusu Afriyie attributed the firm’s pace of success to the delivery on promises of good quality service and emphasized the need for industry players to be honest as well as engage qualified human resource to protect clients’ investment. The company has targeted local business hubs to encourage savings whilst providing loans for enterprises and was delighted in supporting small business growth through provision of flexible loans.Noble Dream is also venturing the global market with an initial focus to service the remittance needs of Ghanaians living abroad. Two operational offices have been established in Germany and South Africa, with plans to open 10 additional branches in Europe.“Most of our ventures outside Ghana are in the form of money transfers for businesses and other things”, said Marketing and Research Manager, Kwame Basoa. He believed Ghanaians can mobilize their own resources for development rather than always turning in search of foreign investors.“We want to give the Ghanaian entrepreneur the courage that a Ghanaian can start something and take it to the other level rather than always looking for European investors,” Mr. Basoa stated. The company currently employs more than 1,000 with 175,000 business clients in the country.
