InstinctWave Ltd., organizers of the 5th Ghana Telecom Awards and the recently held Ghana CFO Awards, has announced the Nominees for the maiden edition of the Ghana Construction Awards.
The awards ceremony comes off on 27th November, 2015 at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra. The event will honor companies and individuals for their accomplishments and strides in Ghana’s construction industry.
In all, nominees were announced for the 24 categories of GCA 2015 including Construction Company of the Year, Foreign Construction Company of the Year, Construction CEO of the Year as well as Indigenous Construction Company. Special Recognition Awards will also be given to individuals/orgainsations who have been instrumental in the growth of the industry.
According to the organizers, the awards will help showcase how the construction industry is pivotal to the economy of the nation whiles recognizing and rewarding companies who are pushing new frontiers in the industry and have been exceptional in the past years.
In a statement, CEO of InstinctWave, Akin Naphtal, said the nominees were selected after careful research based on market intelligence as well as information sent by some of the construction companies.
“We followed due diligence to come out with the list of Nominees. Our process for nomination was very clear, we sent out letters of introduction to construction companies requesting their profile and the list of projects they have successfully completed within the last two years. Thus some of our selections was based on what these companies and sent to our Secretariat. Our Board of Trustees then subjected it to scrutiny and came out with the shortlisted nominees,” he said.
According to him, the award categories/nominations though not exhaustive of the industry, it cuts across major segments of the industry.
“Our team left no stone unturned in arriving at the shortlisted nominees. However, we know all too well we may not have had it 100% especially as it is the maiden edition. We welcome all enquiries and our team is ready to clarify any issue concerning GCA 2015.The research team have been working on this for the past three months and their findings show just how robust the industry is,” he said.
