The New Patriotic Party is today launching officially, its campaign for Election 2008 at Kasoa in the Central Region.
A mammoth gathering is expected at the old Kasoa Market grounds, venue for the grand launching where Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, NPP presidential candidate, will officially be introduced since winning the slot last December.
President John Agyekum Kufuor is expected to symbolically hand over the mantle of flag-bearer to Nana Addo, who will also introduce all the party’s parliamentary candidates for Election 2008.
Myjoyonline correspondents covering the afternoon event say thousands of NPP faithful clad in party colours have already started arriving, chanting party and victory songs.
Kasoa, the sprawling market centre was the venue for the party’s last rally before its National Delegates Congress that elected Nana Addo as presidential candidate from a list of 17.
