The National Executive Council of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) says the additional money to be taken from all five aspirants for the flagbearership position is not part of the filling fee as being speculated.According to the General Secretary, Kwadwo Owusu-Afriyie (a.k.a Sir John), the party's has taken over transportation of delegates during congress, a duty that would have been the burden of the five contestants.
He explained to ASEMPA NEWS that due to this, the aspirants are expected to pay a certain amount to the party, which they have all agreed to.However, Mr. Owusu-Afriyie could not tell how much each of the contestants will pay, adding the constituency executives have been tasked to calculate the cost of transportation for their respective delegates in order for the National Executive to, in turn, inform the aspirants for them to cater for that.Story: Yaa Asantewaa/Asepa News
