Only agents of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) were present at biometric voters register exhibition centres visited by the Ghana News Agency in the Ho Municipal area.
At least two agents of the party were observing the exercise at each polling station.
Mr Kenwuud Nuworsu, Volta Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), expressed surprise at the absence of his party agents to observe the exercise, when reached by the GNA for his comments.
He said appropriate arrangements were made for the Electoral Commission (EC) to give accreditation to its agents to observe the exercise and wondered what might have caused the absence of the NPP agents.
Mr Nuworsu, however, said “appropriate cross-checks” would be done to ensure that the Party is duly represented at the stations.
Mr Ben Tenu, Administrator at the Regional Office of the Convention Peoples’ Party (CPP) said they were not instructed to place agents at the polling stations.
Whereas Ms Bridget Agblege, a Secretary at the Regional Office of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP), said arrangements were being made to place agents at the polling stations starting from Tuesday.
Meanwhile at the Klefe E.P Primary, Atsatime-Anyigbe Polling Station, a total of 125 persons out of 632 on the register had checked on their details by 1330 hours on Monday.
At Hoviepe E.P JHS, Ms Mawuse Peggy Agbotse, the Exhibition Officer said a total of 214 persons out of 345 had checked their registrations by noon on Monday.
