Officials of the ruling New Patriotic Party have said they are displeased with the conduct of some of the aspiring presidential candidates and will soon launch a code to regulate their campaign.
The National Chairman of the NPP, Mr Peter Mac Manu, told Joy News a draft code of conduct has been completed and will soon be presented to the National Council of the party for approval before nominations open in September.
The party’s headquarters here in Accra is said to have been flooded with complaints of what some party officials said is an unorthodox means of campaigning by some of the aspirants.
The Northern Region Secretary of the party, Mr Clifford Brimah told Joy News the conduct of some of the aspirants is creating a rift among executives in the region.
Meanwhile, the National Chairman of the party, Mr Peter Mac Manu has told Joy News it is unfortunate that the campaign of the aspirants have taken its current dimension.
He said a strict code of conduct will soon be introduced to regulate the campaign of the aspirants.
