The 2024 New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Agona West Constituency, is optimistic that the party will reorganise, rebuild and bounce back strongly to contest the 2028 elections.
Chris Jojo Arhin Arthur assured the numerous supporters of the Party not to be downhearted, discouraged or disappointed about the party's inability to clinch victory on December 7.
Mr Arthur gave the advice when he organised an end-of-year get-together for supporters of the party at Otabilkrom, a suburb of Agona Swedru in the Central Region.
He hoped the party would strike hard by continuously working until victory.
Mr Arthur said the Agona West Constituency lost the Parliamentary seat to the National Democratic Congress due to division caused by some members, but there was hope for the future.
“My God has asked me not to complain about the loss I suffered, and I am looking up to Him, the battle is still the Lord's, I will never lose hope as we have entered into a new year,” he added.
He said, “The NPP is down but not destroyed, we will never throw our hands in despair as some people want us to do, but we will move forward to organise quickly to bounce back.”
Mr Arthur was optimistic that the incoming government under President-elect John Mahama would do its best to govern the country to become a better place for all Ghanaians to enjoy quality lives.
He urged all the people to desist from wishing the new administration ill, but rather contribute their quota to support the incoming government to succeed.
Mr Arthur urged supporters of the Party to rally strongly behind the National, Regional and Constituency Executives to help probe what caused their defeat on December 7.
He said his doors were open to all NPP supporters and even non-supporters for assistance.
