The youth wing in the opposition New Patriotic Party is warning the ruling NDC to rein in its officials and stop them from engaging in personality attacks.
They say if the personality attacks from the NDC do not end, high-ranking officials of the ruling party would be embarrassed in the long run.
Addressing a news conference in Accra, spokesperson for the Young Patriots, John Kumah, said the unprovoked attacks on the NPP’s flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo should stop.
“We believe in issues; we believe that we must improve in the welfare of Ghanaians but we will not sit back for them to insult us.
“If insults are what they believe in, we are ready; we are waiting for them. We will meet them boot-for-boot,” he said, adding, “We want to be interested in the issues.”
He charged the electorate to scrutinize the NDC and not allow them to “exploit the weaknesses of the NPP to justify their incompetence.”
“We should question them about the solutions to the problems we are facing,” he noted.
