The Youth Wing of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has noted with delight the contributions of party members towards spreading the party’s campaign messages on the social network, Facebook.
A statement signed by National Youth Organiser Anthony Abayifaa Karbo on Tuesday stated: “Through your various contributions, the NPP and its message has remained strong on Facebook, a medium which has tremendous influence in our politics today…”
He encouraged party members to continue in their "efforts which inevitably would contribute to our ultimate aim of winning the 2012 Elections and assuming the reigns of governance come 7th January, 2013.”
Mr Karbo also announced that in order to boost the NPP’s presence on the social network, the Youth Wing has created an official page, which is: https://www.facebook.com/pages/NPP-Youth-Wing-Offical-Page/153935068007152.
According to him, the page has been created with four basic objectives:
1.To aid in the NPP’s organizational and operational efforts
2.To keep members constantly updated on activities of the youth wing and the party in general, especially towards the General Elections in 2012
3.To put out the message of the NPP and prove to the wider facebook community why the party is best placed to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the Ghanaian youth; and
4.To win more members and sympathizers into the fold of the great Danquah – Busia – Dombo tradition.
