The Vice Chairman of the Bawumia Campaign Team, Nana Akomea, says the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) campaign to retain power has been going well.
According to him, the party’s presidential candidate, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is arguably the most hardworking candidate, tirelessly travelling on his campaign tour.
He further described the flagbearer’s work ethic as "fantastic."
Speaking in an interview on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show on Thursday, November 21, Nana Akomea revealed that the presidential candidate had just completed a 15-day tour of the Ashanti Region. He also said Dr. Bawumia will be embarking on a mop-up tour of the Northern Region today.
He stated that despite the warmth the campaign messages have been receiving from voters in every constituency visited, the team also understands the economic difficulties facing the country. However, he firmly believes that the flagbearer is proposing practical solutions to address these challenges.
“The message is so well received, the message is a very simple message, yes we have difficulties with the economy. He is proposing practical solutions to those difficulties,” he said.
He added that the opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), lacks workable solutions to extricate the country from its current economic crisis. Instead, they continue to blame the current government.
“Vote them out for what alternative, and Bawumia’s message says there are difficulties but these are the practical means that I have to take us out of the difficulties. And that message is very well received, the NDC is saying that if you vote for them within the first 120 days, they are now going to organise a national economic dialogue, and out of that dialogue they are now going to draw a four-year plan,” he added.
He reiterated that the NDC has failed to provide practical steps to resolve the situation.
"So, Bawumia’s message of giving the electorates a clear way to get us out of the difficulties as against what the other side is offering. It is going down very, very well, and I have no doubt that it will reflect in the result in the election” he emphasized.
