National Service Association has announced to its personnel across the country of an upcoming deduction from their February allowance in a recent press statement issued by the National Service Scheme (NSS).
According to the statement, a total of GH₵100 will be deducted from each personnel’s allowance to cover the cost of the "National Service Cloth," which has been distributed to service personnel nationwide.
Additionally, the statement outlined that National Service Personnel who have enrolled in the SIC insurance scheme will also see deductions to cover four months of unpaid insurance contributions.
This deduction is aimed at fulfilling their contractual obligation under the insurance programme.
The NSS has reassured personnel that the February allowance is still forthcoming, but it will reflect the necessary adjustments for the cloth and insurance payments.
The statement further assured that any additional information or updates on the matter would be communicated in due course.
The NSS thanked all personnel for their cooperation and understanding in the matter, urging them to reach out for any clarifications regarding the deductions.
