18:04 – St Augustine's College has qualified to the grand finale of the 2019 National Science and Maths Quiz.
The Cape Coast-based school pulled a stunning performance in the last semifinal contest as they eliminated Keta Senior High and Technical School and Ghana Secondary and Technical School.
They flaunted their strength over the two challengers and finished the contest with the highest tally at the semifinal.
Keta SHTS has now suffered yet another semifinal elimination. GSTS must also wait for their second title after crashing out alongside Ketasco.
The sum of the tallies of their challengers is still nine points short of that of St Augustine's; a resounding victory.
The final scores for the contest were: St Augustine’s College, 53pts – Keta SHTS, 29pts – GSTS, 15pts.

St Augustine’s College has been phenomenal all year in the National Science and Maths Quiz.
From the qualifiers, through the maiden Central Regional championship to the nationals, no challenger has come any close to beating the Cape Coast-based school.
Only Tamale SHS attempted in the quarterfinal but they were quickly shrugged off by the one-time winners.
But Monday evening, Augusco faces the biggest challenge yet.
They come against equally one-time champions, Ghana Secondary and Technical School (GSTS) and one of Volta Region’s best, Keta Senior High and Technical School.
All three schools hope to outmatch the others and pick the last slot at the grand finale.
Already, two of the three slots have gone to five-time champions, Presec Legon and defending champions, St Peter’s Boys’ SHS.
Which of the three join the already qualified schools.
