After losing their seeded spot to Kumasi-based Opoku Ware School in 2018, Ghana Secondary and Technical School (GSTS) have earned a redemption chance.
The GSTS contestants pulled a stunning 45 points to leave nothing but dust for the chasing pack to follow.
Asankragua SHTS who placed second in that qualifying contest collected only 10 points with St Augustine's Bogoso and Methodist Senior High scoring 9 points each.
Asankragua SHS scored zero in the competition.
GSTS who are one-time winners would hope to right their wrongs by championing a bigger campaign when the competition proper starts.
Jirapa SHS in the Upper West Region has also appeared before in the nationals will be smiling they have another chance to make a good showing.
Not only did they qualify but did so in a grand style, with a 19 point gap.
