St. Hubert Seminary SHS is on a mission to reclaim its seeded spot on the national stage after winning its regional qualifiers contest with a whopping 70 points.
In what was a battle of the missionaries, the Catholic school defeated two Methodist schools, Wesley SHS Konongo and Wesley SHS - Bekwai to secure their national spot.
Their contenders appeared to be no match as the green-shirted boys from Santasi soared after every round of the contest to extend their lead hugely.
After the announcement of the scores at the end of the contest, echoes of chants by the Seminarians reverberated across the KNUST SHS auditorium to celebrate their win.

SAHUSS, in 2023, failed to maintain their seed after they were handed a painful defeat by Yilo Krobo SHS at the one-eight stage.
The school has since their last defeat resolved to retain their seed at the national championship, seeing them seed for at least three consecutive years.
While SAHUSS won with 70 points, the second school, Wesley High School-Bekwai ended with 31 points as their counterparts from Konongo secured 10 points.
The school is convinced their landslide victory will facilitate their comeback into the seeded school category.
Meanwhile, surprises in this year’s edition of the National Science and Maths Quiz keep growing by day as Presby SHS - Bompata are the latest to join the batch of schools making their first appearance at the national stage.

The school has for years yearned for a spot at the national tournament but fell short after a series of defeats.
But in a keen contest against Tweneboah Kodua SHS and Adu Gyamfi SHS, the “Adikanfour” escaped a near-defeat to qualify.
The school beat Tweneboah Koduah by 3 points to win the contest with 37 points.
Agric Nzema SHS came third with 20 points and Adu Gyamfi SHS trailed the contest with 14 points.
Ejisuman SHS will once again make an appearance at the national stage after they swerved a defeat by their hair’s breadth.
In a dramatic turn of events, the school won the contest by a one-point margin after they trailed the leading school, Sakafia Islamic SHS in the third round.

Sakafia Islamic SHS ended the contest with 34 points while Ghana Muslim Mission SHS and
Gyaama Pensan SHTS came third and fourth with 22 and 03 points respectively.
Tepa SHS is making a return to the national championship of the National Science and Maths Quiz after their 4-year absence.
After their 2019 semi-final feat, the school hit rock bottom in the succeeding years, suffering consecutive defeats in qualifying for the nationals.
In a zealous attempt for victory, they beat Effiduase SHS, Jachie Pramso SHS and Nsutaman Catholic SHS to reclaim their national championship status.
