President John Mahama has re-echoed his government's determination to ensure every Ghanaian benefits from the wealth of the country.
He was speaking at a meeting with outgoing Norwegian ambassador to Ghana Tom Tyrihjell at the Castle.
He said Ghana will learn from the Norway experience in terms of oil production in order for it to benefit all.
The outgoing Norwegian ambassador told President Mahama Ghana remains an example to the rest of the world and asked him to ensure the enviable position remains intact.
“Let me first congratulate for being elected president for the next period through elections we consider very well conducted. Norway commends Ghana’s maturing democratic practices and remarkable growth, strong institutions and we think that Ghana is an example for many other countries, not only in Africa but beyond.
“We think that the progress of Ghana is not incidental. It is a product of a comprehensive, deep and strong leadership that has brought about this result and we hope that with your experience, commitment and dedication, i ams sure you will take care of that for Ghana and we look forward towards collaborating with you,” he said.
