It was really a night of thrills as music lovers in the Central Region were stunned with outstanding performances at this year’s Obama City Music Awards.

The event cuddled in the arms of the Centre for National Culture at Oguaa saw the event venue filled to the rafters. The Obama City Music Awards, an annual music awards held on the last Saturday of every year rewards hardworking musicians from the Central Region and also inspires the youth in the Central Region to create their own music.

The night was indeed a night to remember as DrPounds of Hitz FM and Nyaniba of Coastal TV took total control of the event. Musicians Koby Symple, E-shun, Capone, Boggy Wednesday and others, surprised patrons with mouth-watering and massive performances to entertain the audience.

The ceremony saw Okortor Perry win the Artiste of the Year with his hit song, ‘Testimony’, while Bessa Simons was handed the Life Achievement Award for his contribution to the Music Industry in the Central Region and the entire Country.

Best Vocalist of the Year went to Lalas (Skuulboys) with their Hit song, Thank God, while the

 Best Collaboration went to Teephlow Ft Obrafour.
