The outspoken NDC MP for North Tongu also used the opportunity to debunk various accusations leveled against him.
Ahead of the 2012 elections, stories circulated in the media that the then deputy Minister for Information owned fuel stations and houses in the U.S.
He said the rumours caused him pain, "They were well coordinated". He said allegations ranged from his ownership of houses in Texas in the United States and shares in "Access bank, Sonitara construction company, and Prada Radio. They also said I have an helicopter".
He explained that there was an Okudzeto in the oil business, which many misconstrued him to be that person.
He explained: "Daniel Okudzeto who is my uncle has 17 years in petroleum business and owns Allied Oil". He also said he had no properties in Texas.
He said "President Mills would not have tolerated me in one hour if I was engaged in corrupt practices."
