One trader has been confirmed dead and three others critically injured, after a commercial vehicle ran over them at the Dr. Mensah Market in Kumasi.
According to eyewitnesses, the minibus ‘trotro’ driver lost control of the steering and rammed into the women who were plying their wares along pavements in the area.

Some traders suspect that the driver was under the influence of alcohol, which might have contributed to the accident.
The three injured are currently in critical condition at the Manhyia Government Hospital.
The police have arrested the driver for further investigations.
The incident has sent shockwaves among the traders.
