A tragic motorcycle accident occurred on Saturday afternoon in Assin Andoe, in the Assin South District of the Central Region, resulting in the death of 21-year-old Evans Quansah.
A 23-year-old rider, Bismarck Amoakoh a student at Assin Fosu College of Education, sustained critical injuries with severe head trauma and fractures.
He was initially treated at St Francis Xavier Hospital before being transferred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
Witnesses of the accident said Mr Amoakoh was riding an unregistered Apsonic motorbike when he collided with Quansah’s registered Houajin motorbike.
Despite efforts from bystanders to help save his life by promptly rushing him to the hospital, Mr Quansah was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at the hospital.
The Assin South District Police are investigating the incident.
