One person has been confirmed dead in fresh clashes between Kokombas and Bemobas in Kpemale in the Bunkperigu yoyoo district of the Northern Region.
There has been simmering tensions between the two tribes after the Independence Day violent clash over a parcel of land.
Several houses have been burnt leaving many families homeless.
District Police Commander ASP Michael Zah told Joy News investigations have begun into the latest attacks.
He said, “I had a call that somebody has been killed … so I asked nurse to go there are retrieve the body and the body has been deposited at the morgue.”
ASP Michael Zah added that, “For now nobody has come forward to identify the body. We are suspecting that the person should be a Konkomba man,” and investigations are underway.
Joy News sources in the area say the murder has come as a shock to Kokombas and there are fears of reprisal attacks.
