Nana Efua Nketia I, Osompahemaa of Duayaw-Nkwanta traditional area of the Brong Ahafo Region, on Monday donated assorted food items, toiletries valued at GH¢ 500 and a cheque for GH¢ 1000 to the Dzorwulu Special School.
The donation formed part of activities marking her 50th birthday celebration.
Nana Gabby Nketia, Special Aide to the President and husband of the Osompahemaa, said his wife decided to share with the needy in society to show gratitude to God for His blessings over the years.
He said government alone could not bear the cost of catering for the under-privileged in society and called on Ghanaians to endeavour to show love, care and support to the needy.
Ms Veronica Bassaw, Head of the School, thanked the couple for the gesture and prayed for God's blessings for them.Source: GNA
