The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has recovered significant sums of money as part of its anti-corruption efforts, according to its Half-Yearly Report for December 2025.
The report shows that the Office secured notable financial recoveries and also confiscated prime movable and immovable assets linked to corruption and corruption-related offences.
Under financial recoveries, the OSP disclosed that it retrieved US$2,000,000 on behalf of the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF).
In a separate case, the Office also recovered GH₵8,518,233.00 in connection with investigations into the diversion of petroleum products.

The OSP said the recoveries form part of its broader mandate to trace, restrain, confiscate and recover the proceeds of corruption and related offences, while ensuring accountability in the management of public resources.
