The Oti Regional Coordinating Council is rejecting claims by the Public Interest Accountability Committee (PIAC) suggesting a ¢1.4 million cedi project funded from the country’s oil revenue does not exist.
The District Coordinating Director, Cletus Chevure, yesterday told journalists in Kete Krachi that project which was implemented by the ministry of regional reorganization and development cannot be traced.
“I want to state categorically that the evidence we have on PICA is never true and on the ground it never reflect,” he said.
But, speaking to Joy News in an interview, the Oti regional coordinating director, Andrews Okuma Nawil said the committee was misinformed.
“It’s not the case in fact the project is there. We have the Regional Coordinating Council offices located in the district so we have the feeder road department located in Kete Krachi. Their building is a two-storey building, it has been roofed, plasted and the work is ongoing,” he said.
