Speculations that the Life Patron and owner of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II was to axe some members of the current five-man management at the helm of the club have turned out to be false.
The management team rather returned from a day-long meeting with Otumfuo at his Manhyia Palace on Friday with promptings to unite and forge a common front for the development of the club.
Speculations have been rife in the Ghanaian media about Otumfuo’s presumed intentions to sack some members of the management team over alleged disunity in their front.
The Management is currently composed of Messrs Asare Owusu as Chairman, George Amoako as Director of Finance, Jerry Asare in charge of Operations, Kwame Boafo as Secretary and Kwame Baah Nuakoh as Communications Director.
Followers of the club had themselves been divided over what influence the speculated rife had on the club’s failure to defend the league title, which also saw them fail to land a Champions League slot.
