Members of the Kwabre East NPP youth who invoked curses and locked up party office during a protest at the weekends say their action was an overflow of emotions.
The youth were protesting against the disqualification of their preferred aspirant, Lawyer Anthony Osei-poku in the party’s upcoming primaries.
One of the leaders, Silas Baah Gyasi says if given the second chance they would not resort to that action again.
"Some of the youth believed that it was the way to go and I think that in moments like this emotions do flare up, I think it is one of those moments."
He says their action has not yielded any immediate positive results.
"Our MP (Francisca Oteng-Mensah) is going unopposed so I don't see how the protest has brought any immediate results." He says.
Gyasi says they would wait to see how things would unfold as the disqualified aspirant is yet to communicate to them.
