Ovation Carol & Awards, the hit annual Christmas event which has thrilled patrons in Nigeria for several years is coming to Ghana this Christmas season.
The December 14 event which is dubbed as the Akwaaba edition is expected to be filled with celebrities, style and fun! Chief Dele Momodu, CEO of Ovation International in a statement revealed:
“We are pleased to invite you as a friend and colleague to support and help promote the OVATION CAROL & AWARDS, taking place at the prestigious State House Banquet Hall, Accra, Ghana, on Saturday, December 14, 2013. This is the first time this charity event is being hosted outside Nigeria. This year’s edition will feature iconic awards, music, comedy and fashion from Africa.
“In line with our global vision, Ovation International, for the past 17 years, has led the way in publishing a magazine for Africans at home and beyond our continent. It is in view of this that we have decided to make our annual Carol event aglobal affair, starting with Ghana this year and moving on to another destination next year.
“We have taken time to meticulously work on this year’s edition to be a showpiece of our influence and capabilities in the entertainment industry. We have decided to upgrade the event by inviting a top American artiste to light up the ceremony in grand style.
“The event will go live on television channels in Ghana, Nigeria and Europe. It will also be streamed live on the internet to a worldwide audience.
“Everyone looks forward to this monumental event in December. We are proud to host this charity event in the historic city of Accra, known for its warmth and friendliness. We are dedicating this special ceremony to the great memory ofaccomplished Poet, PROFESSOR KOFI AWOONOR whose life was brutally terminated by terrorists in Nairobi, Kenya.
