Paul Owusu-Baah returned a net score of 68 to win the maiden Coca-Cola Medal Open Golf Championship played at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Sunday.
Joseph Klah took the second position with 72 net while E. M. Kwame placed third with a net score of 73.
In the Division ‘B’ encounter, George Toall came first with 70 net, E. K. Baiden placed second with 72 net while Sowah Oddoye took the third position with 73 net.
Esi Cobbina won the Ladies category with 76 net while the second position was won by Diana Baiden with 77 net.
The one-day 18-Hole Medal competition which was opened to amateur golfers in the Greater Accra Region was sponsored by the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Ghana Limited.
Mr Mike Aggrey, Captain of the Achimota Golf Club who presented prizes to the winners, praised the participants for responding positively and taking part in the competition.
He thanked the company for agreeing to sponsor the Club’s medal competitions for the rest of the year.
