Pan African Fund set up for small businesses

There is ready capital for startups and small businesses that are willing to cede part ownership of their entities to investors from other African countries. Such businesses will in the next few weeks be able to access the Pan African Fund, an initiative of the Venture capital Trust Fund. The new facility will also provide technical assistance to these startups. Daniel Doku is Chief Executive of the Venture Capital Trust Fund. “We want to see SME’s in Ghana teaming up with those in Sierra Leone, Liberia and other parts of Africa. So we’re looking that methodologies in growing SME’s not only in Ghana but also in Africa by partnerships and also by making available, bigger funds which could be tapped into” he noted.
