Parliament has suspended the approval of the Deputy Local Government Ministerial nominee John Oti Bless.
Mr Bless together was hoping to be approved by the House in order for them to begin his deputy ministerial career with five months to go into an election.
But the fate of the Deputy Local Government ministerial nominee hangs in a balance after he, together with the infamous Montie three convicts were accused of making contemptuous comments against the Chief Justice and the judiciary.
His compatriots are serving time in jail for four months and the minority in Parliament believes Mr Bless must equally pay for his contemptuous comments.
The Minority have brought a petition to the Speaker requesting that the Local Government nominee be rejected by the House having already been vetted by the Appointments Committee of Parliament.
They had sworn to block his approval if the matter had come to the floor for a decision to be taken.
Joy News' Parliamentary correspondent Elton John Brobbey said the House has decided to suspend the approval of Mr Bless who is also the Nkwanta North Member of Parliament.
It is not clear yet if the suspension has anything to do with the petition against Mr Bless. According to Elton John Brobbey the House is to do further consultations about issues that came up after Mr Oti Bless had been vetted.
With the House rising later Thursday evening it remains to be seen if members will be recalled to the House to approve the nominee.
If they are not recalled, then the House will take a substantive decision about the future of Mr Bless when members return in September.
Meanwhile, the two other nominees including the Deputy Foreign Minister Emmanuel Bombande have been approved.
