The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has announced that the Third Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic will officially commence on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
According to a statement issued by the Office of the Speaker and signed by Speaker Bagbin, the meeting will begin at 2:00 p.m. at Parliament House in Accra.
The Speaker gave notice of the new date for the start of parliamentary business in accordance with Order 58 of the Standing Orders of Parliament.
This follows an earlier notice issued on October 6, 2025, which deferred the original commencement date.
The upcoming meeting is expected to see Members of Parliament return from recess to consider key national matters, including pending bills, motions, and government policy statements.
