Acting Director of Public Affairs of Parliament, Kate Addo says the Legislative body will not pursue the case against Convener of Economic Fighters League, Ernesto Yeboah and one other.
The two were arrested by the Parliament police for protesting in the Chamber of the House.
They were whisked out of the Chamber by officials of the Marshall’s office and the police, after they began to shout from the public gallery, ”Drop that Chamber” as the MPs were commenting on the proposed construction of a new Chamber block.
Miss Addo pointed out that actions by the Economic Fighters League exposed how the House is open to danger on a daily basis.
Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana, she said what happened yesterday (July 5) was simply a breach of proceedings of the House. She said there could have been a better way to articulate concerns of the League.
Miss Addo urged Ghanaians to always follow due process to register their concerns to Parliament.

Ernesto Yeboah (M) leads the group
The two protestors were arrested by police after screaming from the Public Gallery “drop that chamber”.
They started chanting after NPP MP for Asokwa constituency in the Ashanti region, K.T Hammond justified the controversial plan insisting ‘MPs cannot sit under trees’.
His comment stirred the protesters seated in the public gallery who then began chanting “drop that chamber”.
Security personnel moved in to remove and detained them at the Ministries Police Station. They were later released.
