A Kumasi Pastor today came to the aid of local artiste Kwaw Kese, known on stage as “Abodam” by standing surety for his bail.
The hiplife star was granted bail today with a surety by Judge William Boampong on grounds of ill-health advanced by his counsel, Kwasi Boaitey.
Pastor Osei Asigbey, a minister of Great House Chapel stood surety for the GH¢ 80,000 bail set for the embattled hiplife star, saving Abodam from having to spend another night behind bars.
The battle is not over for “Abodam” however as he is due in court on Monday 5th January to stand full trial.
The controversial rapper was arrested by police in Kumasi on November 22, 2014; for allegedly smoking cannabis in public, and was remanded in prison custody after making an initial appearance in court.
Several attempts were made by his counsel to obtain bail for him but were fruitless, despite his being rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital on two occasions.
Finally, the embattled rapper has temporary respite from his legal troubles.
