Patapaa’s father, Kwesi Amoah, has opened up in an exclusive interview with Adomonline.com following reports that his son had been poisoned.
According to him, the 'One Corner' hitmaker was not poisoned as some accounts from friends claim.
He stated that the musician had been unwell for about two weeks.
Patapaa's father's comments come after a video of Patapaa on a hospital bed receiving medications went viral.
A colleague musician, Bow Tyre, who confirmed this to Adom News on Monday, said they went out with some friends and Patapaa later complained of stomach pains.
He said they rushed him to a local clinic at Agona-Swedru where it was confirmed he had been poisoned.
But, Patapaa's father told Adomonline that revealed that it had not been confirmed that Patapaa had been poisoned.
Patapaa's father explained that his ill health had prevented the singer from carrying out some plans in Accra.
