Bigwigs within the New Patriotic Party stormed the Asokwa constituency of Ashanti region to assure the electorate of how committed the party is, in “restoring hope and bringing meaning to the lives of the people”.The occasion was the official launch of the campaign for the Asokwa constituency at the school junction park which was filled to capacity.The Parliamentary Candidate for the constituency, Madam Patricia Appiagyei also known in the constituency as “Sompahemaa” who led speakers at the rally, outlined an excited package for the electorate within the Asokwa constituency.Madam Appiagyei intimated to the mammoth crowd that, she would not renege on her pledge to bringing the needed intervention to her constituents to accelerate the development agenda.She noted that she was currently arranging with her Afro-Asian partners to establish small loans and credit facilities for the constituents to access.Madam Appiagyei, a former mayor of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly was visibly amazed by the attendance and was full of praise for her constituents for reposing confidence in her and promised she will do all she could to maximize the needed votes to ensure Nana Addo becomes the next President of Ghana come January 7, 2013.Other speakers at the campaign launch, were leading members of the NPP including General Secretary Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, Dr. Konadu Apraku, Dr. Akoto Osei, Osei Kwame Prempeh, Frema Akosua Opare and Lawyer Adwoa Safo.Madam Patricia Appiaggyei assured her constituents that nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the NPP are committed to implementing the much touted free Senior High School education policy if elected president of Ghana.She observed Ghanaians were now disillusioned with the kind of bad governance being unleashed to the unsuspecting Ghanaians and urged them to show the NDC the red card and give the mantle of leadership to the NPP to steer affairs of governance of the country.
