The Kaneshie PIWC and Police Headquarters Assembly buzzed with excitement and anticipation on Saturday, October 11, 2025, as the Children’s Ministry of The Church of Pentecost hosted the National Bible Quiz Grand Finale. Amid intense competition and thunderous cheers, the Takoradi Area emerged as a beacon of excellence, discipline, and biblical knowledge, achieving an unprecedented milestone in the competition’s history.
Double Triumph for Takoradi Area
For the first time in the annals of the National Bible Quiz, one Area, Takoradi, secured representation in both the Junior and Senior categories. This rare achievement reflects the Area’s deep reservoir of talent and unwavering commitment to nurturing children in the Word of God.
The Takoradi Area went on to make history by clinching 1st Runner-Up in the Junior category and 2nd Runner-Up in the Senior category, marking the first time a single Area has won medals in both categories at the same national event.

The Young Champions Behind the Success
The Area’s remarkable performance was driven by a team of six young Bible scholars whose passion, faith, and intellect shone brightly throughout the competition.
Representing the Junior category were Perry Joe Danquah, Eunice Efiba Aggrey, and Stephanie Ewurama Kumi, while the Senior category team featured Kezia Apiah Kubi, Desmond Apiah, and Nhyiraba Paa Kojo.
Facing formidable contenders from Agona Swedru, Techiman, Tamale, Kete-Krachi, Assin Fosu, Atonsu, Bolgatanga, and Ho, the Takoradi team stood out through rigorous preparation, teamwork, and spiritual maturity.
A Celebration of Hard Work, Faith, and Mentorship
Behind every victory is a story of discipline and guidance. The Takoradi Area’s success was fueled by a dedicated team of coaches and mentors who guided the contestants through months of intense study and rehearsals.
Special commendation goes to Elder Kyie, Elder Edward Danquah, Deaconess Selina Adjei, Teacher Baffour Nimako, and Teacher Estherlyn Bruwah Quainoo, whose mentorship and commitment shaped the contestants into confident ambassadors of the Area.

The leadership of the Takoradi Area Executives also deserves recognition for their continued investment in the development of children’s ministry programmes, a commitment that has positioned the Area as a powerhouse in church-based competitions and youth empowerment.
An Enduring Legacy of Excellence
The Takoradi Area’s outstanding performance at the 2025 National Bible Quiz Grand Finale is more than a competitive achievement; it is a testament to faith, knowledge, and perseverance. It reinforces the Area’s long-standing dedication to raising young believers who are deeply rooted in Scripture and bold in their Christian witness.
This historic accomplishment not only brings honour to the Takoradi Area but also inspires children and youth across The Church of Pentecost to pursue excellence, both spiritually and intellectually.
