Some people in the oil producing areas in the country are expecting to have mixed children resulting from expatriate workers copulating with Ghanaian ladies.
Residents of Efaso, in the Jomoro District of the Western Region hope to raise mixed children who certainly will have a better life as their expatriate parents will be in a better position to pay for their educational needs.
Efaso is village near one of the main drilling points in the Jubilee Field and the have varied expectation including half-cast children.
The Assembly Member for the area, Anthony Nziam, spoke to Joy News’ Seth Kwame Boateng about those expectations.
Beyond this expectation, Mr Nziam said the area had been plagued by bad roads, lack of a police station, hospital and well equipped fire service and expressed optimism that with the oil discovery, the government and other companies will collaborate to expedite action on these issues.
He said the people will only vote for the ruling party again if these issues were tackled with the seriousness they deserve.
