Two mass movement societies, People Power Uganda and Economic Fighters League Ghana marched on some streets in Accra on Sunday to protest “human rights violations in Uganda.”
The groups said their protest was to call on the government of Ghana and other African countries to take steps to ensure an end to the abuses.
They described President Yoweri Museveni who has ruled the country since 1986 as tyrannical and intolerant.
The country reportedly has poor media freedom. Political treatment of opposition party’s Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu also Bobbi Wine, sparked international outrage in 2019.
