In a powerful demonstration of corporate social responsibility and humanitarian spirit, Perfect Compassion Initiative has partnered with Leasafric Ghana PLC to support the Dabenyin D/A Basic School in the Gomoa East District through a massive donation and health outreach program.
The joint initiative saw the distribution of over 400 brand-new school uniforms, mosquito nets, assorted drinks, and other gifts to the pupils and teachers. Alongside the donations, a comprehensive health screening was conducted for pupils, teachers, and parents, aimed at identifying undetected health challenges that often hinder academic progress.

A Strategic Investment in the Future
Speaking at the event, the Founder of Perfect Compassion Initiative, Lady Perfect Anette Agbemabiese, emphasized that the intervention was a strategic investment in the nation’s human capital rather than a one-off charitable gesture. She noted that education remains the cornerstone of national development, yet barriers like the lack of uniforms often lead to exclusion and stigma.

"A child free from the stigma of lacking a uniform, and confirmed to be in good health, is a child ready to learn, participate, and excel," she noted. She further explained that these uniforms represent dignity, equality, and belonging, ensuring every child walks into school with confidence.

Commemorating 30 Years of Service
On behalf of the corporate partner, Mr. David Kwami Letsu, Head of Business Development at Leasafric Ghana PLC, stated that the partnership aligns with the company’s values, especially as they celebrate 30 years of operations in Ghana. He explained that Leasafric is dedicated to supporting initiatives that focus on children and vulnerable groups as part of their deep commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Appreciation by Gomoa East District Education Unit
Representing the Gomoa East District Education Unit, Madam Elizabeth Akuribit described the donation as exceptional, noting that it was the first time an NGO had provided uniforms for an entire school, including teachers and the wider community. She appealed to other non-governmental organisations to emulate the initiative by supporting whole schools rather than a few selected pupils, to make distribution easier and more impactful.

Restoring Dignity and Curbing Absenteeism
The Headmaster of Dabenyin D/A Basic School, Mr. Gilbert Afedzi, expressed profound gratitude, describing the support as timely. He revealed that because many parents in the community are farmers and petty traders, they often struggle to provide uniforms, which leads to high absenteeism. He shared the reality that some pupils stay away from school simply because their only uniform is being washed, a barrier this donation directly addresses.

An Appeal for Sustainable Partnerships
The initiative recognizes that education is a shared responsibility and that no single organization can do this work alone. To expand the reach of these interventions and build a brighter future for Ghana, the organization is actively seeking new collaborators.

"We are open for partnerships with local and international charities and corporate organizations for more sustainable developmental projects," Lady Agbemabiese added.
