The Joint Task Force (JTF) says it is leaving no stone unturned in it fight against terrorism in the northern parts of Nigeria.
The JTF military says says it men discovered sophisticated weapons of mass distruction belonging to the Islamist group known as the Boko Haram in north east Nigeria.
In Kano the armoury that was uncovered consist of materials used in making improvised explosive devices.It would be recalled that guns, large cache of ammunitions and grenades were also discovered durning a house to house search by the soldiers in Maiduguri.
While briefing newsmen on the latest discovery in Kano, the director of state security services, Mr. Bassey Eteng told newsmen that durning the operations,three suspects were arrested in connection with the weapons.
The SSS director said with the successful operations that was carried out, a major terror which would have happened on Ramadan day has been averted. The suspected Boko Haram members allegedly confessed that they were planning to unleash terror on that day.
Aside the improvised devices, Eteng disclosed that other weapons discovered and seized from the suspected Boko Haram members include, military uniforms, masks, ten electronic detonators, AK47 rifles, two pump action, submachine gun and seven bags of urea.
