Ghana commemorated its 67th Independence Day at the Youth Resource Centre in Koforidua in the Eastern region, on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.
The joyous celebration unfolded under the theme, "Our Democracy, Our Pride."
The ceremony seamlessly brought together a curated assembly comprising selected Basic and second cycle institutions, proud Ghanaians, esteemed members of the Diplomatic Corps, dignitaries from the 11 paramountcies of the Eastern Region, and members of the Ghanaian diaspora.
The nation was graced with the distinguished presence of the President of Ivory Coast, Alassane Dramane Ouattara, who served as the esteemed guest of honour preceding the grand celebration.
Commencing in the early hours of Wednesday, the event featured a multitude of activities marked by military dexterity as well as Artillery firepower in the 21-gun salute among others.
Men and women drawn from the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), sister security services, the band, as well as basic and second cycle schools, took center stage on parade.
