The 2024 Platinum Cup Ghana Corporate Games are set to return on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the University of Ghana Sabba field after an eight-year hiatus.
The competition's comeback marks the beginning of a journey filled with games and celebrations.
The inaugural edition in 2016 was won by Stanbic Bank.
"Exercise, we all know is a very important factor when it comes to being healthy, so we decided that why don't we put this together, have fun and network," event organiser Yaw Sakyi told JoySports.
"That's what informed the decision to bring it back."
Eight out of the 12 companies will partake in the football tournament, with the other four participating in various sports. The Games are set to take place at the University of Ghana Sarbah field, Accra.
Participating teams include VRA (Volta River Authority), GBC (Ghana Broadcasting Corporation), NPA (National Petroleum Authority), High links, Omega, UGSD (University of Ghana Sports Directorate), Stanbic Bank, and International Maritime Hospital.

The Platinum Cup features a diverse range of sporting events and team-building activities, designed to test participants' physical prowess, strategic thinking, and teamwork skills.
Events at the games include football, table tennis, 100m races, drafts, cards, CEOs' Penalty Shootout, Women’s Penalty Shootout, and others.
Furthermore, the Platinum Cup offers participants the chance to network with industry peers, forge new connections, and foster a sense of community within the corporate world.
With opportunities for team bonding, leadership development, and employee engagement, the event serves as a catalyst for organizational growth and success.
