This Saturday on Newsfile, host Samson Lardy Anyenini and his panelists are discussing the unfolding removal process of Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo, including her recent press conference where she accused the inquiry committee of procedural breaches and announced applications for judicial review to declare the proceedings void.
Also this week, Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, launched a scathing attack on the Electoral Commission (EC), declaring its entire leadership unfit for purpose and calling for their removal.

Speaking on PM Express on JoyNews, Mr Asiedu Nketia said the Electoral Commission had failed at its core duty of managing credible elections.
He pointed to what he described as a worrying pattern of electoral mismanagement under the current team.
The Bank of Ghana, in a letter dated 19 June 2025, communicated its decision not to confirm the appointments of a fraction of personnel recruited in December 2024, saying the affected persons' appointments were not successful during the assessment. They have now been reinstated.
