Nsoatreman midfielder Abdul Manaf Umar says a good collective performance from his teammates played a role in the club's MTN FA Cup triumph.
The Nsoatre-based side clinched the trophy following a 5-4 in the penalty shootout against Bofoakwa Tano after a 1-1 stalemate in 120 minutes of action on Sunday, June 23.
The victory at the University of Ghana Stadium was the first time the club had won the domestic cup competition since its establishment.
Manaf, who was an instrumental player for Maxwell Konadu's side in the 2023/24 season, gave credit to his teammates for the big performance.
"We are so excited. It was a difficult game but we played hard, worked hard, played as a team and that is what gave us the result," he told Joy Sports.
Nsoatreman will also get the chance to represent Ghana at next season's CAF Confederation Cup as a result of the MTN FA Cup victory.
Manaf says the team will have a needed rest before turning attention to Africa.
"For now we have to go and rest before we start training and we will continue from there."
