On March 11 2011, Japan was hit by two of the nature’s deadly disasters, a 9.0 magnitude earthquake and a 3-foot tsunami which killed more than ten thousand (10,000) people with several thousand still missing.

As if the disasters were not enough, the country is living in fear of a nuclear emergency as its main nuclear plant at Fukushima keeps emitting life threatening radiations.

With production at most of Japan’s factories having ground to a halt, how prepared is Japan to piece back together its troubled economy? Not forgetting the fact that an estimated 300 billion dollars is required for reconstruction efforts. What steps are the government and people of Japan taking in this direction?
